We were approached by the owner of an old mansion built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, who wanted us to renovate and design it to bring it back to life.
The strategy of the design lies in how to renovate the old without destroying the structure of the old building, respecting the history of the renovation, we start from the civilization of Houma, Shanxi Province, the facade is paved with the unique local brick structure, while the interior of the space is combined with the modern art aesthetics, to reorganize the logic of the site design with a pleasant living scale.
